Demo-stage notice

This document is a working template published during the demo/MVP phase. It is not legal advice. The final text — including all items marked [TBD] below — requires review by qualified legal counsel before public launch.

01The Claim and Claim Eligibility

A NU MONEY claim is secured by two credentials: a private claim link and a claim code. The person who presents the correct link and the correct code together is eligible to claim the claim. The network verifies credentials, not identities: whoever holds the correct pair at the moment of redemption holds the right to redeem.

02Recipient Labels Are Not Verified

A recipient label (for example, a username or nickname attached to a claim) is a free-text note chosen by the sender. It is not a verified identity and it does not determine claim eligibility. Anyone holding the link and code may claim, regardless of the label displayed.

03Sender Responsibility for Credentials

  • The sender is solely responsible for transmitting the claim link and claim code to the intended recipient through a secure channel.
  • The sender should transmit the link and the code separately where possible, and never publish either credential publicly.
  • If the code is exposed before redemption, the sender may rotate the claim code, invalidating the old one.

04Credential Leakage and Unintended Claims

If the link and code leak, the claim may be redeemed by an unintended party. A claim redeemed with correct credentials is a valid claim, and its on-chain settlement is final and irreversible. NU MONEY, its treasury, and its operators cannot reverse a settled transfer.

05Deadlines, Refunds and Fees

  • Every claim carries a deadline. The default deadline is 7 days from creation; shorter and longer options may be selected at creation.
  • Unclaimed funds are not lost: after expiry, the sender may refund the remaining amount from the escrow contract back to the sender wallet.
  • A service fee of 0.8% applies to transfers in this demo (final rate [TBD]; contract hard cap 5%). Fees are paid to the publicly verifiable treasury multisig address.
  • Whether service fees are returned on an expired-claim refund is [TBD].

06No Custody, No Banking, No Yield

NU MONEY is a non-custodial protocol interface. It does not provide custody or safekeeping services, does not operate as a bank or offer bank accounts, and makes no promise of yield, profit, appreciation, or return of capital. Funds are held only by the on-chain escrow contract until claimed or refunded. USDG and $NUMONEY are not insured or guaranteed by any institution.

07Geographic Restrictions and Compliance

Access restrictions, licensing positions and applicable consumer protections are [TBD]. Until the compliance review is complete, the product is offered as a technical demonstration only, and users are responsible for verifying that use of $NUMONEY, USDG and this interface is permitted in their jurisdiction.

08On-chain Data Is Public and Irreversible

Settlements recorded on Robinhood Chain — including sender and recipient wallet addresses, transaction hashes and, unless marked private at creation, amounts — are public blockchain data. They cannot be edited, deleted or recalled once confirmed.

09Demo Stage; Changes to These Terms

This product is currently a functional demonstration with mock backend data. The final version of these terms, including fee parameter changes and notice requirements, is [TBD].

Questions or notices: [TBD].

NU MONEY is an independent project. This document describes the demo product only; on-chain behaviour of the deployed contracts governs.
